After an intensive five day trial held at FT Bragg, a ten member officer and enlisted panel from the 82D ABN DIV fully acquitted an 82D Soldier of all six Article 120 sexual assault charges in a General Court-Martial. The soldier was charged with allegedly raping a subordinate soldier while in Afghanistan.
From the first time the soldier was confronted with these allegations, he repeatedly maintained and professed his innocence, asserting it was a consensual sexual encounter. Our firm was able to prove that the soldier was not guilty of the supposed crimes. It was truly an honor to represent such a soldier on the eve of Memorial Day and gratifying to see justice prevail!
