Government Solicitations and Contracts

The federal government contracting process subjects a company to a labyrinth of statutes and regulations. These statutes and regulations govern the contracting process from formation through administration, as well as termination. Complicating the contracting process even further are the various policy considerations of the federal government. Oftentimes a number of socio-economic requirements are a part of a contract, which a company must meet to be eligible for the contract award.

Consequently, bidding for and being awarded a federal government contract hinges not only on a company’s qualifications and suitability for the subject of the contract, but also on its ability to successfully navigate the statutes, regulations and policy considerations that govern the contracting process.

In addition, it is imperative to know whether and how to respond to solicitations where you believe the solicitation process is flawed. For example, should you file a bid protest, when should you file it, to whom should you file it? Or even more significantly, should you engage in litigation?

Jonathan Crisp provides advice and assistance to clients on the federal government contracting process to include contract formation, compliance and administration, claims preparation, bid protests and disputes.
